Changing trains at Tokyo Station
Transferring at Tokyo Station for the Nagano Shinkansen
Passengers arriving at Narita Airport board the Narita Express to Tokyo.
Frequent departures from the airport rail terminal.
Upon arrival at Tokyo Station (B5), take escalators up and follow green signs for the Nagano Shinkansen.
Proceed through the Nagano Shinkansen ticket gates.
The platform number for the Nagano Shinkansen departure is usually 20~23.
Make sure you take the Nagano Shinkansen "Asama".
Narita Express
Narita Express called "N'EX" provides rapid, frequent,
and comfortable service to passengers travelling between Narita International Airport and Tokyo Metropolitan areas.
N'EX usually runs every one hour, and every 30minutes at peak hours.
Transferring at Tokyo Station for the Narita Express
Upon arrival at Tokyo Station exit the Nagano Shinkansen tickets gates and follow the signs to Narita Express that departs from platform 4 on the Sobu Line. To get to platform 4 on the Sobu Line take the escalators down. |

Arrival at Nagano Station
Upon arrival at Nagano Station, take the escalator up. Passengers travelling to Hakuba, Shiga Kogen, or Nozawa Onsen should turn left on exiting the main Shinkansen ticket gate and use the Nagano Station East(Higashi) Exit. Turn left again at the East Exit and take the escalator or lifts down to the bus stops for Hakuba, Shiga Kogen, and Nozawa Onsen located below.
Passengers traveling to Nozawa Onsen can take a direct bus from Nagano Station or alternatively change trains for the JR Iiyama Line.
To do so, pass through the connecting ticket gate to the local lines and take a train headed for Nozawa Onsen on the JR Iiyama Line.
Get off at Togari-Nozawa Onsen Station
For Myoko Kogen, upon arrival at Nagano Station take the escalator up, stay to the right,
and go through the ticket gates for the JR Shin-etsu Line. Take a train to Myoko Kogen Station. |

1. JR EAST Travel Service Centre
JR EAST Travel Service Centres are located in both Narita Airport Terminals 1 & 2. JR EAST
Travel Service Centres are open everyday from 10:30 -20:00 (Terminal2).
The service centre handles sales and exchange of the JR East Pass and exchange
of the Japan Rail Pass that can only be purchased overseas.
Other services include sales of tickets and sightseeing information.
When the JR EAST Travel Service Centre is closed, please go to the JR Ticket Office.
The JR Ticket Office exchanges all JR pass vouchers and sells tickets.
Hours are as follows;
Terminal 1 - 6:30 9:30 19:00 - 21:45
